Somos Berkshires is, above all, a platform that aims to strengthen the sense of community and unity among all Spanish speakers in the region. We firmly believe that each language is a unique way of seeing, understanding, and explaining the world, and only we, as Spanish speakers, can truly capture, with the authenticity and richness of our language, the intensity of our daily struggles and challenges, but also, with that same language, share the joy of our triumphs and victories.

 

That is the fundamental reason behind creating a magazine in Spanish, and that sense of community must not only be promoted but also protected at all costs: the strength of our American society lies in its fundamental freedoms and the diversity of the cultures that comprise it. And it is precisely in these unstable and turbulent times that we have the responsibility to protect our rights with greater determination: the freedom to express ourselves in the language of our choice, access to information, and the right to be informed guarantee a more open, transparent, and responsible society.

 

Our main purpose at Somos Berkshires is to add our voice to this rich multicultural dialogue that characterizes the Berkshires, contributing together to the growth and well-being of the entire community.
